How to Create and Manage Learning Plans
Learning Plans allow you to create structured development templates that can be assigned to learners. Each plan is built around competencies and tied to a specific role, giving learners a clear and guided path to follow.
Step 1: Navigate to Learning Plans
From the left navigation bar, click 'Training Studio'. Select 'Learning Plans' from the expanded menu.
Step 2: Create a New Plan Template
Click the '+ Create Template' button at the top of the page.
Step 3: Create a New Plan Template
Fill in the 'Title', 'Description', and 'Target Role'. Next, click 'Create Template'.
Your new template will now appear on the Learning Plans page.
Step 4: Issue a Plan to Learners
Click the 'Issue Plan' button next to the selected plan template.
Step 5: Select Users
'Select the Users' or team you want to assign from the dropdown and click 'Issue Plan'.
The plan will now appear in the assigned learner's dashboard under their learning journey.
Step 6: Edit an Existing Plan Template
Click the 'Edit' button to update the title, description, or target role as needed.
Things to Note
- A plan template can be issued to multiple learners or teams
- Competencies can be added to a plan template after it is created; the count will update accordingly
- Templates with 0 competencies can still be issued, but it is recommended to add competencies before assigning to learners
- The Target Role field helps managers and admins filter and assign the right plan to the right people
