How to Create and Use Likert / Survey Assessments
Learnly’s Likert / Survey Assessment helps organizations collect learner feedback, opinions, and insights without grading responses.
Unlike traditional assessments, surveys are designed to measure perception, confidence, satisfaction, and feedback rather than knowledge accuracy. Learners share their responses, and admins can analyze trends through survey reports.
Creating a Likert / Survey Assessment
Step 1: Open Assessments
Go to 'Training Studio' from the left navigation, select 'Assessments', and click '+ New Assessment'.
Step 2: Create a Feedback Survey
In the Assessment Type selection screen, choose 'Feedback Survey'. Enter the 'Title ' and 'Description ', and click 'Create Assessment'.
Generate Questions with AI
Likert Scale questions allow learners to rate a statement using predefined response options.
Step 3: Launch AI Question Generation
Click '+ Generate with AI' to create survey questions automatically.
Step 4: Configure AI Generation
Enter the 'Topic ' and the 'Number of Questions' to generate, select the 'Question Types', and click 'Generate Questions'.
Step 5: Manage Generated Questions
Use the available icons to move questions up or down, 'Edit', 'Preview', or 'Delete' them.
Step 6: Edit a Question
Modify the question as needed and select the appropriate 'Question Type' from the drop-down menu.
Step 7: Configure Response Scale
Select your preferred 'Scale' from the list, click '+ Add Response' if additional response options are needed, and then select 'Save & Exit' to apply the changes.
Add Questions Manually
Step 8: Add a Manual Question
Click '+ Add Manually' to create your own survey question.
Step 9: Create and Save Questions
Enter your question, configure the required settings, and save it. Use 'Add Another' to create additional questions.
Step 10: Publish and Preview the Assessment
Click 'Publish' to make the assessment available. Select 'Take Assessment' to preview the learner experience.
Step 11: Review the Assessment
Preview the assessment as a learner would see it. Click 'Next' to navigate through the survey questions.
