How to Create and Manage Email Templates

Email Templates let you customize the emails sent from your organization. You can personalize subject lines, branding, email content, and footer text to deliver consistent communication for onboarding, notifications, reminders, and other automated events.

This article explains how to create, customize, and manage email templates.

Create a New Email Template

Step 1: Open Email Templates

Go to 'Global Settings' and click Email Templates

Step 2: Create a Template

Now, click '+ New Template'.

Step 3: Enter Basic Template Details

Provide the basic information for your template, such as 'Template Key', select the 'Category', enter the 'Template Name' and 'Subject Line'. Choose the 'Primary Color' to match your organization's branding.

Step 4: Customize the Email Appearance

Enable or disable the 'Show Header' option depending on whether you want the branded email header to appear.

Step 5: Write the Email Content

Enter the content under 'Description' and 'Footer Text' that recipients will receive.

Step 6: Preview the Email

Review the 'Email Preview' panel to see how your email will appear before saving it.

Step 7: Enable the Template

Turn on 'Enable this template' if you want the template to be used automatically when its trigger occurs.

After reviewing the template, click 'Create Template' to save it.

Manage Existing Email Templates

After creating a template, you can return to the Email Templates page to 'Preview' or 'Edit' the template.
