How to Configure a White-Label Email Service
The White-Label Email Service lets you send emails from your own custom domain instead of using a platform-provided sending domain. You can configure your sending domain, tracking domain, sender details, and DNS records.
Step 1: Open Integrations
Go to 'Global Setting' and select 'Integrations'.
Step 2: Open White-Label Email Service
Find 'White-Label Email Service' and click it to open the configuration page.
Step 3: Add Your Domain
Under 'Sending Domain', enter the domain you want to use for sending emails and click 'Save Changes'.
For example:
| Field | Example |
|---|---|
| Sending Domain | dev.learnly.biz |
| From Email | noreply@dev.learnly.biz |
| From Name | Learnly Dev |
| Reply-To Email | noreply@dev.learnly.biz |
Step 4: View DNS Records
After saving your domain, click 'View DNS Records'. Review the DNS records displayed for your domain.
The DNS configuration may include TXT records for domain verification, SPF, DKIM, and DMARC, along with a CNAME record for email-related configuration.
Step 5: Add DNS Records
Copy each DNS record shown in Learnly and add it to your domain provider's DNS settings.
For each record, make sure you enter:
- Record Type
- Name
- Value
Use the copy icons next to the DNS fields to copy the record values without manually typing them.
Step 6: Verify Your Domain
After adding all the required DNS records, return to the 'DNS Records' window in Learnly and click 'Verify Domain'.
Step 7: Check the Status
Once your domain is verified, the 'Email Configuration' window displays a 'Verified' status.
Step 8: Send a Test Email
Once your domain shows 'Verified', click 'Send Test Email' to confirm that emails can be sent using your custom domain.
Step 9: Send a Test Email
Enter the recipient email address, review the test message, and click 'Send Test Email'.
Update or Reconfigure Your Domain
If you need to change the domain configuration, use 'Delete Domain & Reconfigure'.
This removes the existing domain configuration so you can configure a different domain or reconfigure the current one.
Troubleshooting
Domain is not verified
If your domain is not verified:
- Click View DNS Records.
- Compare the required records with the records configured in your DNS provider.
- Check that the record type, host/name, and value are entered correctly.
- Make sure there are no conflicting or duplicate DNS records.
- Allow time for DNS changes to propagate.
- Check the domain status again.
Test email is not received
If you do not receive the test email:
Confirm that the domain shows Verified.
Check the recipient's spam or junk folder.
Verify that the From Email is correctly configured.
Make sure your DNS records are correctly configured.
When the setup is complete, the White-Label Email Service section should show your configured domain with a Verified status, along with the associated sender details.
This confirms that your custom domain is configured and ready to be used for sending emails.
